The management of Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi (formerly Benue State University) has announced that its 32nd Matriculation Ceremony for newly admitted students of the 2024/2025 academic session will take place on Friday, July 4, 2025, at the university’s new Convocation Square (Western Wing) by 10:00 a.m.
According to a statement issued by the Registrar, Mr. Barnabas Terfa Hemba, a one-day orientation exercise will precede the event and is scheduled for Thursday, July 3, 2025.
All matriculating students are expected to be seated by 9:00 a.m. in their appropriate faculty academic gowns. The statement emphasized that the deadline for completion of all registration processes is Monday, June 30, 2025. Failure to comply with this deadline will be regarded as forfeiture of admission.
Students are to obtain their academic gowns from their respective Faculty Officers upon presentation of payment receipts. The gown fee of ₦2,000 is payable into any of the following accounts:

In preparation for the ceremony, successfully screened students are to download the Matriculation Oath and University Anthem from the university website at www.bsum.edu.ng.
The release also noted that Thursday and Friday (July 3–4, 2025) have been declared lecture-free days for all fresh students to ensure full participation in both the orientation and matriculation activities.
The university management urged students to comply fully with the outlined procedures and timelines to ensure a smooth and hitch-free event.
