Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria has announced the commencement of online registration for its 2025/2026 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening exercise.
According to a statement issued by the Registrar, Mal. Rabiu Samaila, the registration portal will be open from Monday, August 4 to Thursday, August 21, 2025.
Only candidates who made ABU their first choice and scored 180 and above in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), as well as eligible Direct Entry applicants, are invited to participate.
Candidates are to register via the university’s official portal (https://portal.abu.edu.ng) or through the ABU website (https://abu.edu.ng) after paying a ₦2,000 screening fee online or at any commercial bank nationwide.
Applicants are advised to verify their subject combinations and, where necessary, make changes on the JAMB portal before proceeding.

- Monday, August 18 – Agriculture, Arts, Engineering, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Veterinary Medicine
- Tuesday, August 19 – Administration, Social Sciences, Law, Management Science
- Wednesday, August 20 – Allied Health Sciences, Education, Environmental Design
- Thursday, August 21 – Basic Medical Sciences, Clinical Sciences (MBBS), Dentistry
- Iya Abubakar Institute of Information and Computing Technology (IAIICT)
- Distance Learning Centre (DLC)
- Computer-Based Test (CBT) Centre
Candidates are to appear with original copies of their JAMB and Post-UTME registration printouts. Failure to register will render candidates ineligible for admission consideration.
