IMO STATE UNIVERSITY (IMSU) SET TO RELEASE POST-UTME/DIRECT ENTRY ADMISSION FORM FOR THE 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

The management of Imo State University (IMSU), Owerri has released the official guidelines and eligibility requirements for candidates seeking admission into the university for the 2025/2026 academic session through the Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening process.

Eligibility Criteria for Post-UTME Applicants

  • Candidates must have selected Imo State University, Owerri as their first-choice institution in the 2025 UTME and must have scored a minimum of 150 in the examination.
  • Candidates who did not initially choose IMSU as their first choice but scored 150 and above may also apply, provided they change their institution of first choice to IMSU via a JAMB CBT centre before the Post-UTME application closes.

Eligibility Criteria for Direct Entry (DE) Candidates

  • Direct Entry candidates must possess a valid qualification such as:
    • OND, HND, First Degree
    • ‘A’ Level or equivalent certificates
    • In relevant subjects/disciplines for their chosen course of study

Important Note on O’Level Result Uploads

  • All candidates are required to ensure their qualifying results (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB, etc.) are uploaded to the JAMB portal (CAPS).
  • Candidates with pending O’Level results are advised to upload them to JAMB immediately after release.
  • Failure to upload these results will result in disqualification, as such candidates will not be considered for admission.
