Sokoto State University (SSU) has announced the commencement of its online screening exercise for candidates seeking admission into the 2025/2026 academic session.
The exercise, which is open to both UTME and Direct Entry (DE) applicants who chose SSU as their first choice, will run from Monday, 11th August to Friday, 10th October, 2025.
Eligibility Requirements
- UTME candidates must have scored a minimum of 150 in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
- DE candidates are required to upload scanned copies of relevant A’Level results (Diploma, NCE, IJMB, etc.) to the University portal.
- All applicants must have uploaded their O’Level results (minimum of five credits, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings) on JAMB CAPS via https://jamb.caps.gov.ng or at a JAMB-accredited CBT centre.
Screening Procedure
- Visit https://portal.ssu.edu.ng.
- Log in with your JAMB Registration Number as both username and password.
- Click ‘Update Data’ to update your phone number and email address.
- Generate and print a screening payment invoice of ₦2,000 (excluding transaction charges) containing a Monnify Payment Reference Number. Pay at any commercial bank or click ‘Pay Now’ to use Monnify instant payment channels.
- After payment, log in again to update your biodata, academic records, and other required details.
- Print your acknowledgment slip and payment receipt.
Important: The screening is strictly online; no Post-UTME examination will be conducted. Only candidates who complete the online screening will be considered for admission.
