The University of Maiduguri has announced that its 2025/2026 Post-Admission Screening Exercise for Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) candidates will take place from Monday, August 11, 2025, to Thursday, September 11, 2025.
According to a statement issued by the Registrar, Ahmad A. Lawan, eligible candidates are those who selected the University of Maiduguri as their first choice in the 2025/2026 JAMB UTME or DE application.
The statement added that UTME applicants must have scored at least 150, except for courses with higher cut-off marks as listed on the university’s website and must possess the correct subject combination as prescribed in the 2025 JAMB Brochure.
All applicants are required to have at least five O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English Language, in not more than two sittings. Direct Entry candidates must hold a minimum of Lower Credit in ND/HND or Merit in NCE.
Registration attracts a ₦2,000 non-refundable fee payable via the Remita platform. The procedure includes logging into the university’s portal with the candidate’s JAMB registration number, uploading required documents, filling in personal and academic details, and submitting the application.
The university stressed that only O’Level result printouts from examination bodies’ websites or photocopies of original certificates will be accepted, and results must be uploaded to the candidate’s JAMB CAPS profile.
