Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho (LAUTECH), has provided clarification regarding the payment of medical fee, medical registration, and toxicology test fees

Attention of the Management has been drawn to misconceptions on the above mentioned mandatory fees to be paid by fresh students for their medicals.

It is therefore imperative to clarify and give adequate information on the matter as follows:

(1) Medical fee is paid along with tuition fees and it serves as payment for consultations and treatments that students may need during the session, except in cases of referral to secondary or tertiary health institution.

This fee that is payable at the beginning of the session is already incorporated in the school fees.

(2) Medical registration and toxicology test fees are paid for the mandatory screening tests (urine, blood, toxicology and X-ray)by fresh students and newly appointed staff in order to ascertain their fitness for admission and employment respectively. It is payable only ONCE.

(3) Medical fee is paid for the subsidised treatments/ insurance students enjoy  during the session, while urine, blood and toxicology  tests are conducted only once for fresh students.

Concerned students are hereby advised to visit the designated university payment portal to make payments as stated above.
