Legitdan News reports that the Federal Government has earmarked N29.54 billion for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in the 2025 fiscal year to cover the provision of kits, transportation, and feeding for corps members.
This allocation is part of the Miscellaneous Expenditures under the Federal Ministry of Youth Development in the proposed N49.74 trillion national budget for 2025.
Additional allocations in the NYSC Miscellaneous category include:
- N104.56 million for honorarium and sitting allowances.
- N165 million for publicity and advertisements.
- N50 million for postage and courier services.
- N730 million for sporting activities.
- N30 million for service-wide training on Government Integrated Financial Management Information System (GIFMIS).
This reflects the government’s commitment to supporting the operational needs of the NYSC in the coming year.
