The Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo, in affiliation with the University of Ibadan, has officially opened its admission portal for the 2025/2026 academic session. Applications are now invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into its NUC-approved full-time undergraduate degree programmes.
Established in October 1977, the College stands as Nigeria’s only institution mandated to train special education teachers and related personnel. With a strong academic affiliation to the University of Ibadan, it offers robust and specialized degree programmes across various disciplines in education.

- Education/Islamic Studies (Minor Only)

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates eligible for admission include:
- UTME candidates who selected the College as their first choice and scored 200 and above;
- Candidates who scored 200 and above but did not initially select the College (must change institution to make FCE (Special), Oyo their first choice on the JAMB portal).
- Direct Entry candidates with relevant NCE qualifications.
Registration Guidelines: All candidates are required to:
- Submit their bio-data and O’Level results (WAEC/NECO or equivalent), and NCE results (for Direct Entry) online via www.ui.fcesoyo.edu.ng;
- Pay a non-refundable processing fee of ₦2,000 through the Paystack payment gateway;
- Fill the online form in capital letters and click “Final Submission” before printing;
- Provide active email and GSM contacts for further updates;
- Upload valid scratch card(s) to verify O’Level results.
- The deadline for all online submissions is 30th December, 2025, and there may be no extension.
Important Notes:
- Payment of the ₦2,000 processing fee does not guarantee admission.
- Candidates found guilty of document falsification will be disqualified and possibly prosecuted.
- Post-UTME screening dates will be communicated via email and SMS;
- Direct Entry candidates must visit the Directorate of Degree and Diploma Programmes with two photocopies each of their credentials, payment receipt, online form, JAMB DE slip, and passport photographs on or before 30th December, 2025.
