KWARA STATE UNIVERSITY (KWASU) RELEASES POST-UTME/DIRECT ENTRY ADMISSION FORM FOR THE 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

The management of Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has officially opened its Pre-Admission Screening Registration for all UTME and Direct Entry (DE) candidates seeking undergraduate admission for the 2025/2026 academic session.

According to a circular from the Office of the Registrar (Ref: KWASU/REG:25/07/18-01), the online registration exercise will run from Friday, 18th July to Sunday, 17th August 2025.Eligibility:

The following categories of candidates are invited:

  • Candidates who selected KWASU as their first choice institution.
  • Candidates willing to make KWASU their first choice (must change institution on the JAMB Portal before registering).

Important Notes:

  • Admission consideration is based on a combined score:
    • UTME/DE score – 70%
    • Five relevant O’Level subjects – 30%
  • Candidates must have at least five (5) O’Level credits, including English and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings (except for MBBS, which requires one sitting only).
  • Candidates awaiting results may apply, but they must upload their results before the admission process ends.
  • Any false or incorrect entry will lead to disqualification.
  • All admissions are subject to program-specific cut-offs and NUC-approved quotas.

Application Fee

non-refundable fee of N2,000 is required to complete the online screening registration.

Step-by-Step Registration Procedure

  1. Visit https://portal.kwasu.edu.ng and click “Click here to apply”.
  2. Select the Undergraduate link on the top menu bar.
  3. Enter your JAMB Registration Number and click “Continue”.
  4. Fill in your personal details with a valid phone number and email, then click Next.
  5. On the payment review page, click “Make Payment”.
  6. Input your ATM card details (MasterCard or Visa) and submit.
  7. Enter the OTP code sent to your phone and continue to complete the transaction.
  8. After a successful payment, click “Main Login”, enter your JAMB number and use your surname as password.
  9. Click “Login to dashboard” to complete your registration.
  10. Print out both your registration form and payment receipt.

If you experience any issues with payment (such as a failed transaction after being debited), use the Re-query feature by entering your JAMB number and phone number to retry the process.

Final Admission Conditions

Final admission into KWASU depends on:

  • Meeting both university-wide and programme-specific minimum UTME/DE scores.
  • Availability of space within the NUC-approved quota.
  • Genuine documentation. Forgery (e.g., of indigeneship certificates) will lead to disqualification and legal action.
