The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) has officially opened its portal for the 2025/2026 Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise. The institution invites applications from qualified candidates who made UNN their first choice in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored 160 and above.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must have selected UNN as their first-choice institution in the 2025 UTME.
- Must have scored 160 and above in the UTME.
- Names on O’Level (WAEC/NECO) results must match those used in JAMB registration.
- Must be 16 years or older by 30th September 2025.
- Candidates awaiting Nov/Dec 2025 GCE or NECO results are not eligible to apply.

- Fee: ₦2,000.00
- Platform: Remita (payment can be made online or at any commercial bank)

- Opens: Monday, July 14, 2025
- Closes: Friday, August 15, 2025 (midnight)
Step-by-Step Registration Guide
- Visit the university website: www.unn.edu.ng
- Click on the UNN Portal
- Select Prospective Students
- Choose Online Application Form for 2025/2026 Admission Screening
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number and generate an invoice
- Pay the fee via Remita
- Return to the portal to complete the application form
Upload the following documents (each not exceeding 100KB):
- Birth Certificate (accurate date of birth required)
- Local Government Identification
- First School Leaving Certificate
- Testimonial
- JAMB Result Slip
- O’Level Result(s): O’Level 1 and O’Level 2 (if applicable)
Submit the form, confirm the entries, and print the Acknowledgement Slip
For Direct Entry (DE) Candidates:
All DE applicants who selected UNN as their first choice must also register for the screening. Importantly, their A’Level results must be verified via the Nigerian Integrated Post-Secondary Education Data System (NIPEDS) as mandated by JAMB.
