WAEC TEMPORARILY DISABLES ACCESS TO 2025 WASSCE RESULTS OVER GRADING ERROR
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has temporarily withdrawn access to the 2025 WASSCE results for school candidates due to technical issues discovered during an internal review process.
In an official statement released today, Thursday, August 7, 2025, the Council revealed that the glitch was linked to a recent innovation known as paper serialization, deployed in key subjects including Mathematics, English Language, Biology, and Economics to combat examination malpractice.
WAEC emphasized that the issue is not related to candidates’ performance but rather a technical bug that emerged during post-release procedures. The Council assured the public that the situation is being handled with urgency and transparency, and results will be restored within 24 hours.
Candidates who have already checked their results are advised to recheck after the correction is completed.
WAEC reaffirmed its commitment to fairness, professionalism, and maintaining the integrity of its assessment processes.
