The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced an extension of the sale of application forms for the 2026 Direct Entry (DE) exercise to May 8, 2026. The move is aimed at ensuring that no deserving candidate is denied the opportunity to gain admission into tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
In a bid to ease congestion and improve access, JAMB has also approved the addition of five new registration centres in high-demand locations. These centres include the Centre for Open and Distance Learning (CODL) at the University of Ilorin, Bells University of Technology in Ogun State, Olabisi Onabanjo University also in Ogun State, Prof. Usman E-Learning Centre at the Federal College of Education (Special) in Oyo State, and Human Development Initiatives (Grace House) in Lagos State, which will commence operations from April 30, 2026.
JAMB further reminded prospective candidates that its nationwide Professional Registration Centres (PRCs) and Professional Testing Centres (PTCs) remain open for ongoing Direct Entry registration.
This extension and expansion of registration centres reflect JAMB’s commitment to broadening access to higher education and making the application process more convenient for candidates across the country.
