Ifeoluwa Olaore

Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, has announced the commencement of its Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session.

According to an official bulletin (Vol. XXXIII No. 49) issued by the university, all candidates who chose DELSU as their first choice in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored 150 and above are eligible to apply. The online application portal opened on Thursday, July 24, 2025, and will close by 12:00 midnight on Friday, August 22, 2025.

Candidates are advised to carefully read and follow the instructions available on the university’s portal at https://studentportal.delsu.edu.ng before completing their application. The screening details will be communicated through the phone numbers and emails supplied during registration.

The application involves filling out a form, providing O’Level results and guardian information, uploading a recent passport photograph, and paying a non-refundable fee of ₦2,000.00. Applicants are required to print a copy of the completed form for reference purposes.

DELSU also extended the application opportunity to candidates who did not originally choose the university but have the required cut-off mark. Such candidates are expected to change their first-choice institution to DELSU via the JAMB website before the portal closes. Direct Entry applicants must hold relevant qualifications, including NCE, OND/HND, First Degree, or ‘A’ Level certificates.

Applicants are further reminded to upload their O’Level results to the JAMB portal, as failure to do so will result in disqualification. Enquiries can be made via admission@delsu.edu.ng or WhatsApp at 08142578507.

The announcement was signed and released by the Public Relations Unit of the Directorate of Ceremonials, Information, and Public Relations, Office of the Vice-Chancellor.
