The Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo, has announced the commencement of its post-UTME admission screening exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session. The screening is scheduled to take place on Thursday, September 25, 2025.
Established in 1977 as the only college of special education in Sub-Sahara West Africa, the institution is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for its Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) programme.
According to a release by the Registrar, J. A. Araoye, prospective candidates who chose the college as their first-choice institution in the 2025 UTME and scored 100 or above are eligible to apply. The college’s admission policy, which considers the entire nation as its catchment area, also allows candidates who did not initially select the institution but scored 100 and above to apply, provided they change their institution of choice to the college. Additionally, all applicants must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2025.
The application process is entirely online. Candidates are to log on to www.nce.fcesoyo.edu.ng to pay a non-refundable fee of N2,000 for the online registration. After payment, they are required to complete the online application form, upload scanned copies of their O’level results and a recent passport photograph and then print out the completed form.
The deadline for the submission of online applications is Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 4:00 pm.
Candidates are also reminded to upload their SSCE/GCE O’ Level (WAEC/NECO), NABTEB results to their JAMB Profile at any accredited CBT Centre nationwide. Those awaiting results may apply but must ensure their results are uploaded to the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) by September 24, 2025.
The screening exercise will begin at 9:00 am prompt on the specified date, and the venue will be indicated on the printed application form.
