The Governing Council of the Federal University of Kashere (FUK) has approved the appointment of Professor Mohammed Inuwa Ja’afar as the fourth Vice-Chancellor of the institution.
The decision was reached during the Council’s 10th Special Meeting held on Tuesday, 3rd February, 2026. Announcing the development, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Professor Williams Olushola Aderounmu, disclosed that Professor Ja’afar emerged as the most outstanding candidate after scoring the highest mark among twenty candidates who participated in the selection process.
Professor Ja’afar is a seasoned academic from the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Life Sciences, Modibbo Adama University, Yola. His appointment is widely viewed as a strategic step towards strengthening academic excellence, research advancement, and administrative growth within the university.
Members of the University community have extended their congratulations to the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor, expressing optimism that his leadership will further drive the development and progress of the institution.
