LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY (LASU) RELEASES POST-UTME SCREENING/DIRECT ENTRY ADMISSION FORM FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

Lagos State University announces the commencement of the online admission screening exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session for candidates seeking admission through UTME (100 level) and Direct Entry (200 level).

 

Eligibility for Screening

  • Candidates must have chosen LASU as their first choice in the 2026 UTME and scored a minimum of 195 marks.
  • Candidates must be at least 16 years old by October 1, 2026.
  • Pre-Degree Studies (PDS) students who completed their studies and meet the above criteria are eligible.
  • Direct Entry candidates, including LASU JUPEB Diploma holders (only LASU diploma accepted except NCE for Faculty of Education), must have obtained the JAMB Direct Entry form and chosen LASU as their first choice.
  • Candidates of Lagos State origin who have validated their indigeneship claims before the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee will have automatic validation during screening.

  • Faculty of Communication & Media Studies: Mass Communication
  • Faculty of Education: Wide range of education courses including Arabic, Biology, Business, Chemistry, Computer Science Education, Early Childhood Education, Economics, English, French, Geography, Guidance & Counselling, Health Education, History, Islamic Studies, Mathematics, Music, Physical & Health Education, Physics, Political Science, Social Studies, Special Education, Technology & Vocational Education, Yoruba Education
  • Faculty of Engineering: Aeronautic & Astronautic, Chemical, Civil, Electronics & Computer, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering

Application Procedure

  • Visit www.lasu.edu.ng and navigate to Student > New Applicants.
  • Click on UTME/DE Screening or visit https://lasu.edu.ng/admissionscreening.
  • Log in with your UTME registration number and surname, then make a payment for the admission screening fee selecting “Ojo” campus and “Student” category.
  • After payment, complete the online screening form with personal details, course selection, and O’Level information. Candidates must upload O’Level results on JAMB CAPS before screening closure.
  • Candidates can update their information or change courses by re-screening, subject to additional payment.
  • Submit the form and download the screening result using your registration number.

Important Notes

  • Only candidates who chose LASU as their first choice are eligible for screening.
  • The screening exercise runs from Wednesday, 3rd June 2026 to Tuesday, 23rd June 2026 (midnight).
  • Screening is based on a point grading system combining UTME score and five best relevant O’Level subjects.
  • Candidates must ensure they meet the required O’Level subject combinations as per the 2026 JAMB brochure.
